Welcome to my portfolio!

This is a collection of all my work from my time at Auburn University in the Interior Design major. We had major projects in residential, commercial, healthcare, and hospitality. Each category shows its own strengths in what I can do. Residential is my primary focus.

Projects

Residential

The Lamb Residence is a seven thousand square foot family home located in the Moores Mill Golf Club in Auburn, Alabama. For this project, we were tasked with redesigning several large portions of the home. This included the kitchen and basement, the two main areas touched, and a few private areas were also included. With some spaces being a complete redesign and others just updated with furniture. This project expanded my knowledge of space planning within an existing shell. By incorporating several different design aspects that fit the wants and needs of the clients, this home was revitalized.

Commercial

This semester, we worked on a  project creating a new headquarters building for Door-dash. My teammates, Whitney Cookston and Grace Birnbaum, and I each were designated a floor to design. We had to maintain the same design concept throughout the building while making each floor unique. We decided to design this building in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our design is inspired by not only the nature of Salt Lake City, but also the architecture seen throughout. These aspects helped us create a comfortable and homey atmosphere, to not only native Utah residents but any newcomers as well.

Healthcare

The design for this medical office building is inspired by the vibrant community of Birmingham. Throughout the building, music will be part of the patient and visitor’s experience. Speakers and sound stations will be in every exam room to help calm anxiety. The retro-inspired aesthetic will provide a sense of playfulness and brightness.

Hospitality

For this project we redesigned The W Hotel in Union Square New York. They gave us some standard design requirements on what they for sure did not want and what they do want. My concept statement was: Union Square is a place where freedom of expression is shown. People come here to be themselves. They can speak their mind and be who they want to be. The W in Union Square is an icon for this movement. It is all about freedom and being yourself. With the prominence of fashion and design, the building is an icon. The W is a place where fashion meets freedom and creates a different force of luxury.
